General
Description:
Burner projects a low-to-medium velocity flame into the furnace chamber. Flames
are usually clear to semi-luminous. Many of these burners can operate with larger
amounts of excess air, giving them excellent turndown characteristics and operating
flexibility. In recent years, they have been supplanted in many applications by
high velocity / high momentum burners, which have all their desirable features,
plus higher convection heat transfer.
