General
Description:
These burners are designed specifically to fire immersion tubes for heating liquids
at low temperatures (typically, water-based solutions at 200°F or less). Thermal
efficiency is determined by the length of the immersion tube, with 60 - 70% being
common. Some companies now offer burner systems for firing small diameter, high
heat transfer tubes with thermal efficiencies around 80%. Unlike radiant tube
burners, immersion burners have fast-burning flames which often spin to increase
the rate of heat transfer to the tube walls.
