Engine Drive Systems: Options - Rotary

Rotary engines are much lighter than reciprocating engines and operate on multi-grade gasoline, alcohol, natural gas or propane. The engine has a simple construction with few moving parts and all rotary internal motion, which yields virtually vibration free operation. Rotary engines are clean burning, emit no visible smoke, require little maintenance and meet published emissions requirements. Rotary engines do not require excessive auxiliary heating for starting in extreme temperatures. Since the rotary engine possesses a higher rotating moment of inertia than reciprocating engines, a better dynamic response to load changes is achieved.
