Electric IR Long Wavelength: NiCr Winding in Metal Sheath

An electric current passes through the NiCr resistance element, which is embedded in a metal or ceramic sheath. The sheath is thus heated and radiates energy.

The long wavelengths emitted using this method decrease the operating temperature but give this electric IR heater type great versatility. Its heat outputs can range from low to moderately high levels.

Highlights:

Wavelength: Long
Maximum Use Temperature: 200-1500°F
Filament Temperature: 1350°F
Output: Low-to-Moderately-High

Applications: General Industrial, Paper Drying, Powder Coating
