Electric Technologies: Electrically Heated Oil

Platens and molds can be heated by running electrically heated oil through them. The oil is heated between 70-700°F using electric hot oil heaters.

When using electrically heated oil systems, unlike Central Thermal Fluid Systems which require one heating unit, each tool or area requires a modular heating unit. This unit heats the oil using electrical elements and pumps it through hoses and other screwed together piping to the tool and back to the heating unit.
